Due next Thursday and have planned for a home birth throughout my pregnancy...until I had a phone call earlier to let me know the home birth service is being suspended due to coronavirus.
Seemed a daft reason ("midwives may start self-isolating/signing off sick in the next few weeks") but have to trust they know what they're on about. Although my own midwife thought that it would be better to keep people at home.
Has anybody else who was due for a home birth had similar news? Just wondering whether it's the same across the country.
