Hi everyone,

I didn't want to become one of "those people" but here I am, struggling to stay calm with this coronavirus situation and the risks that my unborn baby and me may be facing now!

I am 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I am extremely worried, especially with the news now saying that pregnant woman must isolate themselves for 12 weeks as we are now high risk along with the elderly. I am very worried what this means in terms of upcoming scans (I have a private scan in 12 days) and my NHS scan on the 20th of April, these are both my gender scans! I am worried these may not go ahead? I haven't seen my baby since my first scan at 12 weeks, which to me is worrying especially if my upcoming scans get cancelled. Is anyone else panicking?

I feel like if I don't chat to other "mum's to be" I may lose my cool and I know that isn't good for the baby! who else is out there and worried? Confused x

I’m 20 weeks and due to have a scan this week.

I’m concerned, but...

There’s no evidence whatsoever that pregnant women and their unborn children are at any increased risk. It’s precautionary.

So, whilst I think it’s very important to adhere to the advice (eg social distancing etc), there’s good reason to be confident.

And I would trust the hospitals advice and decisions on scans etc.

It’s scary, I agree, but the facts so far are very positive for us pregnant women and our babies.
