Maternity clothes advice

Sorry if this has been done before Smile

I’m only 10 weeks but just wondering when people started to wear maternity clothes, especially jeans?
My normal jeans are tight due to bloating so I was going to considering maternity jeans but would they literally fall off this early on??

Also if anyone has any advice for tall maternity clothes that would be great please

@ruby8179 I have found jeggings really good rather than actual maternity jeans at the moment, currently 17+4.

It depends on what style you go for but there's no reason you couldn't get some maternity jeans now that you can grow into. However, at a guess, if you get some maternity jeans that fit you well at 10 weeks then you might have to get some bigger ones later on in your pregnancy.

In terms of maternity clothes, I started wearing them sometime between 20-24 weeks. We all grow differently though so just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

I'm the same I'm 10 weeks today and my jeans are so uncomfortable already! I can barely squeeze in to them because of bloating. I think I might just go up a size for now as like you say I guess maternity would be way too big at the minute! Don't know if this link will work but may be worth looking at these on eBay or something similar:

I went in to maternity jeans and leggings at 12 weeks for comfort but I didn't need maternity tops or dresses until about 16 weeks. I don't think there's a right time, just whenever you want to! Even if they are a bit big now you will grow into them.

A quick fix for now is to use a hairband to expand the waist of your jeans/trousers. This bought me a good few extra weeks before I needed to switch to maternity ones.

Also, I’m tall (around 5’11”) and found that Next was good for maternity clothes.

My maternity jeans only stopped falling down when I was just at the beginning of the 3rd trimester.

Up until then I lived in maternity dungarees/leggings/husbands pj's

I was in maternity jeans at 16 weeks. I hate anything tight across my stomach when I’m not pregnant so I found these super comfortable. Work trousers lasted until about 20 weeks with a hairband to extend them. I had quite a lot of long tops which went ok over my bump and I’ve only just had to switch to maternity tops at 25 weeks.

I got some maternity jeans bout 3 weeks ago, they are still a bit loose at 19 weeks but they are so comfy so much better than wearing my old jeans!

I was defo in maternity jeans by about 16 weeks as I just found normal jeans so uncomfortable, comfort first I'd say Smile
