I'm due in 10 weeks and naively haven't had any hospital tours yet (I know some people don't but I'd really like to know what the room would be like in advance).
Anyway, I've left it too late and because of coronavirus the hospitals around me aren't doing any maternity ward tours.
Please can I have any thoughts/reviews on the birth centre at Pinderfields, St James and birthing unit in LGI so I can make a decision quickly as I'm aware time is running out!
Ideally I'd like a water birth but I know this isn't guaranteed wherever I go.

I had my baby at Pontefract birth centre and they were totally amazing. Midwives were fantastic. Could not recomend them enough. Unfortunately I lost a lot of blood and I was transferred to Pinderfields. Personally it was awful. I was largely ignored and they didn’t feed me! If I have another baby I will not be going there. I never want to go there again for anything! And from what I’ve heard afterwards I’m not alone. Apparently it has a bad reputation the maternity ward. But ponte was amazing! If your near and low risk I would whole heartedly recommend it.

Mine were born there. They were excellent with the emergency of DC1's birth, but the after-care was shockingly bad.In fact, non-existent (I was in for over a week as I was so ill). Likewise, ELCS was fine, but after-care was appalling. Both times, it was filthy, though the younger one is 16 so I would hope this has improved.

I had a normal uncomplicated birth at Jimmy’s. A section for medical reasons at LGI after being under feotal medicine there.

My SiL had 2 sections at Pinders.

All happy with everything.
