Do not panic, I had 2 pop up straight after I gave birth. Midwife said not to panic just don't kiss baby and the fact that I had them when I was pregnant too means baby probably would have antibodies. Breastfeeding is best as you continue to pass antibodies through your breast milk so baby builds up immunity.

When mine were little I used to use those compeed patches over them just in case they came anywhere near me and I couldn't avoid them. Worked a treat.

call the gp this morning.
you might get a prescription for aciclovir.
and yes to pp. if you tend to get open sores you need to patches that cover them to try not to spread to baby
