My iron was a little low when I got pregnant, and although I had been taking a prenatal it didn't have iron in it. My diet is very healthy and I was surprised to hear my iron levels were a little low. I switched to pregnacare which provides 121percent of the RDA, but my stomach is so bunged up! I just wonder if that much iron is ok...I assume it is safe in pregnancy. I'm not a meat eater so I assume people who get loads of iron in their diet also take pregnacare and it doesn't cause problems? Would appreciate any advice, as I'd love to stop pregnacare.
