Movement question..

I’m 39 +5 & I yet again feel like baby isn’t moving as much as usual. Moving, yes. As active as normal, no. I have an extremely wriggly baby, on a normal day she never flipping stops moving!

I know the answer is to go get check but the last couple times I’ve been in, I’ve had the same blooming midwife who has made me feel like an idiot. I get hooked up & baby is noted as moving. Which yes, I agree, she is but nowhere near as much as usual.. but this midwife has just brushed aside these concerns & said ‘she’s moving, she’s fine’. Now I fully trust the midwives & I’m at least reassured baby seems fine to them. And next day, babies always been back to a none stop party! I hate to waste anyone’s time & I’m finding it hard to know what warrants monitoring! If I feel some movement on & off through the day, is that fine? Even if it’s less than normal?! As I’ve kinda been led to think by this midwife..

Thanks!

I would definitely go and get checked. You're not wasting anyone's time and it's best to be sure. Everything is probably fine but the official advice is always to get checked, regardless of individual attitudes from some HCPs/midwives.

The movements are an indicator something could be wrong but they are checking the heart trace is normal not so much the movements. They always say if you feel something isn't right go in for monitoring.
