Well, I put myself at risk of pgcy 7 weeks after delivering DD2. Just realised I'm having some symptoms but know it could also be period symtoms. Just speculating how this would go especially since I had a C section 8 weeks ago!!!! Anyone out there had this and got through it???????

Quackers - thanks for starting this thread.

I am in the same boat - DH and I have been a bit ahem.. naughty since DS2 was born 4 weeks ago and I am worried that we will have a 9 month gap. Do you know how long it takes for your first period to come back? Also do you ovluate before that period?

I have started on the pill again but am only on day 4 - really should practice more self restrain

I was told by my midwife when being signed off after dd1. That one is especially fertile in the first year after having a baby... so what do I do?? Fall when dd1 was 10m, wouldn't change it now though dd2 looks like an ickle dolly.....

wizzysmum · 05/10/2004 10:41

There's less than a year between my 2nd and 3rd. All down to a bottle (or two) of Rioja...

Quackers · 05/10/2004 11:36

Oh God. Yes you can have a period I beleive 4-8 weeks after and obviously will ovulate before this! I took morning after pill but this didn;t work last time!!! We'll see then!! More positive stories would be fab! Keep me posted Dejags!

My sister in law got pg 4 weeks after giving birth. There is 10mths between her two. She's finding it very hard but I can't believe she fancied sex so soon . I still felt like my insides could fall out so soon after having dd!

I had long labour followed by emergency c-section in March this year and am now nearly 20 weeks pregnant!

Assuming all goes well baby should arrive end of February - my due date is 1st March, but as I had caesarian last time and fell pregnant so quickly it looks likely that I will have a caesarian this time round too.

DD took us over a year to conceive, so it was a bit of a shock to fall pregnant so quickly this time around.

I was however mixed feeding DD(i.e. formula and breast milk) when I fell pregnant. Maybe if I had been exclusively BF things would have been different.

Haven't really had any problems so far this pregnancy although it was a bit difficult coping with Morning sickness and looking after DD. I have had the odd twinge around my scar, but consultant has said that this is probably just things stretching again.

I'm really looking forward to having 2 so close together, although I appreciate that things will probably be a bit hectic for the first few months.

My DD was 7.5 months old when I became pregnant again. We weren't using protection as we wanted another quickly but still pretty amazed at how quickly.

My periods had not returned and I was still b/f DD albeit sporadically.

When next is born I shall go on the minipill immediately just in case.

Just got AF!!! Ah well must be meant to be. Am a little bit disappointed but relieved! Only just got back into alcohol again and am enjoying a relaxing drink in the eve!
