Hi I'm new here hoping to get some advice from mums/ mums to be that have had similar problems, I had a miscarriage a few years ago I recently found out I'm pregnant around 5 weeks 5 days I had a bleed on friday so early scan Saturday I have a hematoma I have cramps and only light brown spotting since I've been told to expect more bleeding, gestational sac was visible and although paperwork says no told sac they gave me a picture with a clear told sac, will my baby be okay

It’s hard for anyone to say whether or not the baby will be ok - but if you have a Hematoma and you’re bleeding it’s likely it’s from there and not from the baby. You’re still very early so it’ll be hard to tell much from the scan I would’ve thought.
I also have a Hematoma and at 9 weeks the baby is fine and it’s not causing bleeding at the moment.

Hey OP. I spotted at 5 weeks and then bled at 7 weeks. I was beside myself thinking I was having a miscarriage. I had a scan at 7 weeks where thankfully everything was fine with the baby and I could see the heartbeat. They could also identify where there was a sack of blood in my uterus where the bleeding was coming from. If you had a scan at 5 weeks that could be far too early to even see anything, they say from 7 weeks is best. The fact that they have pinpointed where the bleed is coming from for you is actually a really good thing! Maybe have another scan again in a couple of weeks time to put your mind at ease?x

Hi guys thanks for your reply, I have a scan booked for the 31st. It's a relief to hear your pregnancies are going well. It's just so hard constant worrying.
