Is this early pre-eclampsia?

Hey all.

I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday and my blood pressure so far has been great.

I’m on low dose aspirin anyway for low Papp-a hormone.

But my feet and fingers are swollen and I’m not peeing as much as I should, I’m worried that this is early signs of pre-eclampsia?

Is hand and feet swelling common this early on or could it just be water retention?

Xx

I am being monitored for PE (I’ve high BP). I was told to watch out for “sudden and unusual” swelling. Has this happened to you? I can’t wear my rings anymore and I lose my ankles every evening. But this is normal for me in pregnancy. I tell the midwives about it every time I see them and they never seem worried.

Have you had your urine tested for protein recently? For peace of mind you could make an appointment with the midwife and get it tested along with your BP. Mention the lack of urine but this has never been something I’ve been told to watch for. Is your urine also dark? If so you mightn’t be drinking enough.
