Just been for a little walk to the shop which is maybe a 15-20 minute walk there and back. When I got home I started getting shooting crampy type feelings right where my knicker line is at the bottom of my belly, just off centre to the right. It's really quite strong. No other symptoms. I am 17 weeks. Does anyone know if this could be round ligament pain or any other suggestions? TIA x

Sure is mamma! Hurts like a bitch and there’s nothing you can really do for it as well except maybe a warm bath (worked for me!) Aaaand it gets worse the more preggy you get!

Just to preempt - as they often come together - if you get shooting pains in your vagina or your bum bum, they’re totally normal as well! They are colloquially called ‘ fanny daggers’ or ‘lighting crotch’

X

Thanks for such a quick reply @MrsRose2018 any type of pain is just a worry isn't it so if I know it's normal I can cope with the physical side. I can not wait for other little delights you've mentioned 😭🤣 x

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I have had these pains the whole way through so far! They are completely normal 😊 they worried me at first but they seem so normal and common.

MrsRose2018 · 13/03/2020 19:09

:) it’s just cos I had exactly the same pains, exactly the same worries and posted almost exactly the same thing on here!

It’s so hard to accept that any kind of pain in pregnancy is ok, let alone normal but this one is - provided you have no actual cramping or bleeding and it’s not constant!

Ahaha yeh the FDs are a delight I still get them now at 22 weeks!

Warm bath and some paracetamol is a good start! A hot water bottle is also an option if it doesn’t make you too hot - which it did for me x

Thanks so much @MrsRose2018 @chocolate26 as you say pain initially worries you (especially after a loss) but as long as it's normal I can cope, in a weird way it makes me happy as I know things are growing and moving around in there. I did check for bleeding straight away as it was quite severe! I have a scan in the morning too so will be able to get some more reassurance 🥰

I Had MC last year as well so I totally get the fear!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow x

Sorry to hear that @MrsRose2018
Thank you, these pains are really strong now so it's come at the right time 🤦🏽‍♀️ x
