I went for an early scan today. I thought I was 6 weeks based on my dates. Scan showed a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no embryo. The lady said that I am probably a week or so behind what I think I am and has booked me in again in 10 days time. I was a bit disappointed and upset because we've had two miscarriages in the last year and I just really wanted this one to go well!
Anyway, since coming home and reading the letter they gave me with the scan info on I have noticed that she has put my gestational sac size as 70mm x 42mm x 47mm in size with an average size of 56.0mm..... isn't this MASSIVE? I thought that it was more than 25mm in size and had no embryo then it was almost certainly a missed miscarriage. Could she have typed it in incorrectly and could it be 5.6mm which would make it a normal size? Has anyone else had a gestational sac this size and it been normal?
