GLUCOSE IN URINE!

Had a mw appt. last week and there was glucose in my urine - have been eating loads of crap during this pregnancy but am worried that I may have diabetes. The mw didn't seem concerned - didn't even document it in my notes and said she would check me again next time but I am thirsty all the time and am going to the loo a lot at the minute as well.

I've just had the same experience.
(See thread Gestational Diabetes - the response from Dilbertina was reassuring)
How many weeks are you?

I have insulin controlled diabetes. Don't worry. Try to cut down on the amount of sugar you are eating first of all. This may make you feel less thirsty and less likely to go for a wee if you have gestational diabetes. Remember, healthy foods such as fruit juice and yoghurts also have a lot of sugar in them. Try cutting out all suagary foods for a few days and see if you feel any better (very hard, I know). Good luck, and I hope your next sample is OK.

i had one test that showed sugar too. Next tests were fine. I drink loads when im preggy and pee loads I dont have diabetes as i was testing for it. If your worried you can have a test at 28 weeks
