I'm 37w 3d my baby is breech, head wedged in my left side under my rib but sometimes completely sticking out my left side, 2 feet up under my ribs or in my side and bum wedged down to the right of my pelvis. I can't sleep on either side anymore if I lay on my left Im worried about baby's head if a lay on my rught I worry about baby's feet and legs. Has anyone else had a baby in this position and all was ok. I just don't want to hurt their little head. I'm booked for a section in 2 weeks

Yes! Try not to worry (easier said than done!). I used to prop my bump up with rolled up towels, cushions, dressing gown, anything! And also put a pillow between my knees so my pelvis didn’t roll over too much. Not because I was overly worried about his head, just was more comfortable! The baby should be well cushioned by lots of fluid - if you have any concerns about the amount of fluid then talk to the midwife but if you’re not an immediate CS at this stage I think it’s just a case of trying to be as comfortable as you can Smile

I’ve got a breech baby that is laying just like yours, head usually up in the ribs but sometimes sticks right out to the side! I’m having a section on Friday!

I can’t say I’ve ever thought about it too much.. baby is really well protected in a thick bag of fluid. It would be very hard to do any damage! I stick a pillow under my bump for support and sleep on whatever side is comfy at the time! To be honest, at 39 weeks, neither side is comfy 😫

Just get yourself comfy & don’t worry!

Just don't sleep on your back.

@BadgertheBodger thank you I am not worried about the fluid as the last scan I had was Friday and they said there was plenty, it just felt like baby's little head was right there with nothing around it, it sticks out that far sometimes, my husband took a picture of baby's head sticking ou the side of me when a leaned sideways 😂 i have a massive amount of pillows aorund me and under me, my dh calls it my pillow castle.

@Bol87 thank you. I know baby is ok in the fluid but this little head seemed to stick out so much and so obvious I was worried I was going to squash baby's head. I can't wait for my section at this point, I have forgotten what comfortable is 😂. Good luck with your section.

@BecauseReasons oh yes I would never sleep on my back way too dangerous, but thank you there are lots of people who have never heard of this.
