Nearly 10 weeks and bleeding

I'm nearly 10 weeks pregnant and have just this evening started bleeding. I haven't filled a pad in an hour but the bleeding is bright red. I'm trying to think positive but deep down I know. Going to try and get an earlier scan tomorrow to at least confirm what's going on just feeling heartbroken right now.

Try ringing your local epau they mig. be able to book you a scan for tomorrow. I had a big bleed at 9 weeks and thought it was all over but scan showed it was all fine. Hope this is the case for you

I am right there with you, just shy of 10 weeks. Woke up to bright red bleed this morning. Went to epau this afternoon and baby happy and well. However, bleeding has just restarted again and i feel very stressed about it, as they couldn't see an obvious cause on the scan. I do tend to bleed in pregnancy (positive outcomes too!), particularly because of aspirin (7th pregnancy, have 2 little ones). All is not lost!! Keeping everything crossed for us both. X

Thank you for your kind thoughts @Whatelsecouldibecalled you have to be referred to EPU here and the line won't be open until the morning

How are things today @sleepytimebaby?

sleepytimebaby · 12/03/2020 18:12

Couldn't get seen at EPU until Saturday Hmm I couldn't do with the no knowing until then so paid £70 for a private scan to be told it's an anembryonic pregnancy. Even though the sac had continued to grow there was never an embryo there. It's so cruel that all this time I have been thinking another little one was there and there is nothing at all. Trying to keep it together now and just waiting to continue miscarrying naturally it's so bloody hard.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 12/03/2020 21:25

I’m so very sorry

mable88 · 12/03/2020 21:41

So sorry to hear this OP - this happened to me last year at 10 weeks too and it absolutely sucks. Hope you have lots of support round you x

MrsRose2018 · 13/03/2020 08:30

OP I am so very very sorry! I had this exact same thing happen to me last year! I had some bleeding, went into my EPU, they did bloods which didn’t double and they did a scan that was completely bloody empty! Absolutely devastating!

My thoughts and love are with you as the f***g awful time!! Xx

MrsRose2018 · 13/03/2020 08:32

Also this is an entirely personal choice but I had surgical management of my MC! It was oddly peaceful! Went in, they put me to sleep, I woke up had some nice painkillers and didn’t really have to “deal” with... anything.

If you need any advice just ask x

sleepytimebaby · 13/03/2020 13:18

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm bleeding but still not very much. I'm going to still go to the EPU tomorrow just to get their advice. It's just shit. This is my third miscarriage and god do they get harder xx

I don’t know where you are based or what your hospitals/EPU are like but at St Mary’s Hospital In Manchester they have a recurrent miscarriage clinic which are supposedly phenomenal!

I’m so sorry this is happening to you x
