Yes I did at the start of Feb. Got a letter back offering the reduced rate of £27 per week a few weeks later, and have been chasing up HMRC/DWP since to get it sorted before I finish work in April. I’d apply as soon as possible.

I applied third week of jan, took 3 weeks to get decision back for full amount. Got my first payment beginning of March. Was quick and simple.

You should apply ASAP. I'm due end of April too and I applied when I was 26 weeks. It can take up to 8 weeks for your application to be processed and you might end up waiting for the money to come for a bit. I should receive my first payment next week.

I applied last Wednesday and they said a four week wait for me.. Fingers crossed it comes a bit sooner! Lol

@StarryEyed88 keep chasing! They are useless/incompetent! They seem to always find a reason to only offer £27 and then you have to fight it!

With mine end last year it took a month of phone calls between them and the NI people. They reckoned we hadn't paid when we had, then could see we had but hadn't been allocated to account but they didn't know how to resolve it and kept saying it wasn't their issue to solve and had to call the other.

Thanks everyone I will apply today I have filled me form out so just got to go post it am ok if it takes a hit longer as my husband pays all my Bill's etc so can support me a bit more if needs be until I get the money through but would it be back dated if it was delayed ?? @R2D2abc @

Yes it gets back dated to the date you have asked for it to start

applestrudels · 12/03/2020 11:03

I applied last week and got a text yesterday saying they'd received my application and it should be processed in 4 weeks.

Leag1 · 12/03/2020 19:36

I sent off at the beginning of February, received a text about a week later saying decision takes 6 weeks but then got my confirmation about 2 weeks later. And my NI is fully up-to-date so I didn't have anything else to do except return the letter once I stopped working
