Do you just go staight in for a scan or do they check your blood pressure, weight, urine etc beforehand?

Just go in for a scan. They didn't even need my notes!

It's just the scan which takes about 30 mins while they check all babies organs, limbs etc. Make sure they're developing properly. They'll probably ask you if you want to know the sex too.

Just a scan.

Our hospital won't scan without maternity notes.

I've had BP and urine tests every time I've had a scan, but I also have consultant appointments after scans as well so I'm not sure whether that's connected...

Thanks for replies, I'm anxious about it and like to know everything before going in haha.

I had my 20 week scan yesterday (London hospital).
The scan lasted about 20 minutes. The sonographer went through all the measurements in detail. Near the end she asked if we wanted to know the sex.
Took a few profile shots which we paid £5 for. Then printed out a copy of the measurements to stick in the book.
That was all. No blood pressure/weight/urine samples etc needed.

No maternity notes in my area, it’s all online which is a relief for me because I hate paperwork Grin. They just scan you, it can take a while and you may have to come back a week or two later for a second scan if your baby is in an awkward position.
