How much did everyone gain? Obviously at this early stage it’s not weight gain from growing baby so where is it gaining? Is it a lot of water retention? Why am I gaining weight so early, not eating anymore, actually eating healthier, have not stopped regular exercise. Why have I put on half a stone already, or is this just normal?

I'm no expert but that does seem very excessive. I'm 13 weeks and have only lost weight, not healthy or deliberate, consequences of hg unfortunately. Your rate of recommended weight gain is based on your bmi( usually at the time of your booking appointment) there's a few charts online you could check out

I put on a few lb but there was also a lot of bloat that came with that not to mention my boobs doubled in size almost overnight! That had to account for a couple of lb alone! Lol
everyone is different but if you’re concerned, speak to your midwife.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at some online charts for recommended weight gain. I have a pretty low bmi which is probably making the sudden gain more of a shock.

I've gained just over half a stone too (at 10 weeks), and I'm not consuming more calories than before. I think it's water retention and constipation mainly. Depending on your starting weight I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had and still have a very healthy BMI currently so I'm not going to stress over it - there's not much I can do about it as I refuse to diet whilst pregnant.
