I'm 36+4 weeks and getting fed up now and so uncomfortable! Baby is still sitting very high up with no sign of dropping any time soon. Just wondered when did you have your first and what were your super early signs labour was starting?

37 weeks exactly.

I was contracting for 3 days though before I went to the mat unit. I didn't realise I was in labour as nothing else happened, I rang on day one and they advised a bath and pain relief as they were probably braxton hicks. I just about managed to continue on day 2, I then called at 7.30am on day 3 and said I think I'm in labour, was told if nothing else is happening take some pain relief and lay down for an hour then call back. 8.30 I called back, and had 2 contractions in that call. DH took me to the mat unit, both of us (and the midwife I spoke to) expecting me to be checked over and sent home... I was fully dilated, ds arrived 20 minutes later 😂
There were messages to my parents and inlaws from dh saying "baby is going to arrive today" 3 minutes later "scap that, you've got a grandson"

My mucus plug came away and they burst the waters (I was tearing in 3 places) while I was in the delivery suite.

Rather dramatic, and probably not a helpful story for you as there aren't any early signs like you asked for there. Sorry.

DramaAlpaca · 10/03/2020 22:23

At 39+2. Absolutely no hint that it was happening until I woke up at 3am with an unmistakable contraction.

Bol87 · 10/03/2020 23:20

40+5 .. started with contractions Monday.. born Wednesday afternoon Confused

mrspotatohed · 10/03/2020 23:24

89redballoons · 11/03/2020 02:20

39 + 3. Had been told at a MW appointment two days earlier that baby was only 1/5 engaged. I called the hospital at 11pm unsure if my waters had gone or if what I was feeling were contractions - they had, they were and DS was born by 4am Smile

BarleyG · 11/03/2020 03:01

40+9 for my first
Now 40+12 with my second and no sign whatsoever Hmm

SquigglyOne · 11/03/2020 03:53

Blondefancy · 11/03/2020 04:39

11 days overdue Confused I started going into slow labour after 2nd sweep and was like that for 2 days!

ArriettyJones · 11/03/2020 05:08

41 exactly

tinyhappyaliens · 11/03/2020 05:54

36 weeks exactly. Went out for tea on Saturday evening and had back pain. Waters went at 23:45 DS born at 4:45.

Honeybee85 · 11/03/2020 06:00

38+4 but I was induced because I really wanted an epidural. Baby hadn’t shown any sign of wanting to come out so far.

Friend of mine had a baby 2 weeks before me because at 42 weeks, no signs yet of the birth starting naturally.

Honeybee85 · 11/03/2020 06:00

I mean friend was induced too at 42 weeks

ivfbabymomma1 · 11/03/2020 09:20

pinkdressinggown · 11/03/2020 09:49

36 + 3... I had a slow leak of hind waters for 4 days from 35 + 6 (which I thought was me not being able to control my bladder after I'd been for a wee Confused) and then he came along the day after I took myself to hospital to double check

puds11 · 11/03/2020 09:51
