VBAC after C Section

Hi ladies,

Had my midwife booking in and also bloods app the other day. Whilst I was there the hospital where I selected were called to make me an appointment with a consultant regarding delivery after a c section with my last child who was breech.

Has anyone else had this and what’s discussed? Are we encouraged to have another c section because of the scar?

I am 11 weeks + 5 going by lmp but had private scan which put me a week ahead at 12 + 5. Waiting appointment through for NHS scan.

They’ll give you all your options. My scar from DC1 was still too sensitive and they couldn’t risk it so they advised another C-Section for DC2. How you healed from your first might after affect how you can give birth. Ultimately it’s your choice though so have a think about what you want. You’ve got time to change your mind so don’t stress.

My son whom I had c section with will be turning 6 soon so it has been a while. Scar I think is fine.
Haven’t actually thought about what kind of delivery I would want, probably would want to try VBAC but whatever they recommend for safety I guess. I’ll be 40 before my due date so that may be another factor
