Hi, just wanted to get some advice on how I’m feeling during my pregnancy... sorry if I go on a bit!

So I’m 23 weeks + 4 with my first baby and had bad sickness until around 22 weeks, thought it had gone but since Sunday has come back with a vengeance!

I got referred to consultant due to low BMI (16.5 at booking appointment) partly due to being so sick in those first few weeks - I lost around 7lbs in the early days and have only now got back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

My weight doesn’t seem to be bothering me but I am just so tired. All. The. Time.

I had high hopes for the second trimester being a bit easier with lots of energy but every day when I finish work I just want to go home for a nap! I can’t make it through the weekend without a nap either.
Iron etc all fine...

Should I be getting this checked or just resign myself to the fact that I’m just going to be tired for the duration?

Have you had recent bloods done? Could be low in iron

Sorry just saw the bit about iron!
I was tired a lot in my first pregnancy too- your body is doing a lot of work and I think it's a bit of a myth that everything is fine in second trimester. Rest as much as u can and nap if you need to x

It is absolutely exhausting. In my first pregnancy I went out for dinner with my DP and fell asleep at the table when he nipped to the loo! Blush

Sleep now while you can OP. Smile
