Is the Elvie pump worth the money??

Just that really?

The reviews look really good for mammas who want to pump but not be tied down! Also I’ve heard they are really good for preventing/helping prevent blocked or infected milk ducts?

The single one is about £220 which is steep but I’m thinking the above may be worth it?

Welcome your thoughts or if there are alternatives that are just as good/better!

TIA xx

My sister in law got one for her third and has SWORN by it. She went back to work p/t quite early at 3 months and it meant she could discretely pump throughout the day and has carried on bfing up to 10 months.

My friend has one and also swears by it! I bought one from Skinstore but managed to get a fair bit off with discount codes so only paid around £170 in the end - haven't used it yet but will do once baby is here.

I haven’t used mine yet but have heard good reports from others. Only issue I’ve heard is that you need to be careful not to bend over wearing it.

Friends who have them love them for hands free pumping. As long as you can wear a bra they are great.

I’ve read the reviews about it leaking and I’ve also read they can possibly be faulty which isn’t ideal for a £250 piece of equipment but if I go slow with the movements/bending they sound really good! And like you said the reviews seem to predominantly swear by it!

The other one I’m considering is the ardo calypso which is a double electric pump but you’re attached again...

I’m not going to purchase anything until I’ve established that I can actually breast feed in the first place but I like to plan ahead :)

@MrsRose2018 def don’t pay full price for it. I got mine on Look Fantastic with one of their 20% off promotions.

Two friends had them and absolutely loved them. Sadly it's out of my budget, otherwise I'd buy one - planning to donate milk again with DC2. If you can afford it, go for it!
