Dental work during pregnancy

Hey,
So I’m currently 5 weeks + 5 pregnant. I’ve just been to the dentist and they’ve told me I need a filling. I made them aware I was pregnant even though I’m still very early as I’m worried of anything going wrong.
They’ve booked me in for an appointment when i’ll be 8+6, but I’m wondering if it is safe to do it?
I’ve read it’s best to wait until after the first trimester, and after a chemical in January my anxiety is through the roof with this pregnancy so I want to make sure there’ll be no risks. I didn’t ask the dentist at the time as I presumed if they didn’t say anything it would be fine to do.
My first midwife appointment is the day before but this might be too short notice to cancel and rearrange the dentist.
What should I do?

Obviously don't have any x rays but fillings are safe as far as I was concerned. I think I'd be wanting to get it done before your bump was making it in comfy to lay back in h tv e dentist chair for a long period of time as I can imagine that would be quite horrid. Maybe just ask for it to be put back until after your 12 weeks scan
If your worried xx
