TMI 37 weeks baby 4/5 engaged

Ok its gross but has anyone else had trouble going to the toilet, both ends 🙈🙈 I feel like the babies head is so low down its blocking all the exists and I'm having trouble with both.

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow. baby's 3/5.
I find I've constantly got the urge to go to the toilet both ends but it is a struggle. it sometimes hurts after a wee pee. I think your right when you say it's the preasure of baby

@PumpkinMun Not just me then thankfully, I'm constantly running to the loo as feels like I need to go. I get that pain too and it almost feels swollen down there.

@csmw yeah I tend to wake up through the night feeling swollen down there 🙈 I think it must just be baby getting into position. I feel like I'm going to have an uncomfortable couple weeks waiting on bubba arriving

@PumpkinMun well I hope it's a quick feeling weeks, I'm hoping I don't go overdue like last time.

Movicol makes me gag unfortunately I was prescribed it for my IBS 🙈

Sadly I can't help with advice but how do you know how engaged baby is? I feel so much pressure when I walk or stand etc and been told baby is head down but no one has said how much. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. I've got terrible pain I think it's called lightning crotch and also a lot of Braxton hicks that radiate down my back and legs.

@abbs1 it says it in my online maternity notes, I'm 37 weeks today and have the exact same, Braxton hicks are so painful and I wake in the night with the crotch everytime I turn

@csmw defo hoping for a quick couple weeks and not going overdue! this is my 1st birth so super nervous but don't think I can deal with weeks left of this haha

@abbs1 my online maternity notes app tells me but I'm sure if you called your midwife they would happily check for you and explain it to you :)

Oh thank you. I have a scan and see the consultant tomorrow so will see if they can tell me. If not I see my midwife next week. I've had most of my care in the hospital so haven't seen the midwife since 28 weeks.

@abbs1 I'm sure if your cares with the hospital they will have access to your notes and go through it with you, it's always nice to know what's going on

@Pumpkinmun all my notes are handheld and ive read through them but cant see anything. I will ask tomorrow and see what they say. I feel like baby is quite far down so hoping that's good news for labour. I'm so over being pregnant I just want my little one in my arms.

@PumpkinMun me too I would just like to be able to roll over in bed without wincing. This is my 3rd so I'm hoping it goes quickly 😁

@Pumpkinmun had my scan today. Babies head was so far down they couldn't measure it but the sonographer said he couldn't tell me if its engaged or not. I can hardly walk now the pain is so bad but due to baby not growing as he should I'm having a sweep next week and then induction if he doesn't come before then so the end is in site!

@abbs1 I had an appointment yesterday and was told that some babies don't fully engage until labour so I guess it doesn't make to much difference. that's rubbish your feeling super uncomfortable when you walk but great news the end is near for you! fingers crossed they make a wee appearance before then for you :)
