Am only 31 weeks, but am pretty sure that DS2 has engaged. Yesterday I keep getting a strange pain, which felt like he was breakdancing on my cervix and like someone was stabbing my up my fango Today I can breathe, and people have commented that my bump is very low today... scared now!!

keeping my fingers crossed for you SGK x

policywonk · 07/09/2007 14:47

Oh, I remember that feeling with DS1. It happened on New Year's Eve in the middle of Brighton, and I had to stand stock still in the middle of the pavement until it settled down. Quite exciting though. (Not in a sexual way.)

meandmy · 07/09/2007 14:47

good luck my dd kept dropping really low then coming back up so hoping it wont be to long a wait for you!

sparklygothkat · 07/09/2007 14:49

I don't want him yet!! I want to get to 37 weeks!! [sob] I have had 3 premature births and I want to get further this time. I have been injecting myself every day and I hoped it would help this time..

Hi, I know how you feel, Im 36 weeks and bub is 4/5 engaged, feels like he could just pop out any second now.But i still have the pain in my ribs and breathlessness. Must be a big boy.

TellusMater · 07/09/2007 14:51

I "engaged" on December 1st. My mum was told to go and get her Christams shoppng done pronto. I was born on December 30th.

Hope everything is OK SGK. Take care.

sparklygothkat · 07/09/2007 14:51

I did think about standing on my head to get him out of there, but I might faint

I am hoping to get to 37 weeks at least too. Hope all goes well for you and you can hold on a bit longer.

RGPargy · 07/09/2007 14:56

Fingers crossed that he unengages SGK!!!

katendmom · 07/09/2007 15:37

Can you call your clinic, describe your symptoms and see if they would see you (or at least give you an advise?) 17th seems a bit far away when you're feeling this different and nervous... My clinic always says: "Call us right away, call if in doubt, don't feel like you're bothering us. This is what we're here for."

GOOD LUCK!!!

sparklygothkat · 07/09/2007 15:50

he doesn't want to come today or tomorrow. I have just brought a beautiful maternity dress for a wedding tomorrow that costs me £45!!! I will put a cork up there

TBH I don't like to phone the hospital as they like to keep me there.. I spent weeks in hospital with DD2, and I don't want to stay there..

OP posts:
SlightlyMadSCAREYthing · 07/09/2007 16:06

Sparkly - I know you obviously don't want to stay there but I think you have a choice

Maybe you could call community MW and ask if she just examine you re engagment and then take it from there....

TBH I am surprised they have not recommended virtual total bedrest before now....

sparklygothkat · 07/09/2007 16:12

don;t know my Midwife's number, otherwise I would ask her to pop round, she only lives round the corner. I will see if I can get an appointment with her next week, but thats not till thursday. We don't have comminuty midwifes as such here
