Hi,

I’m 15 weeks 3 days and feeling absolutely normal. The only thing that is a give away is my little bump, and I’m quite peckish . But I just feel great. Is this normal ? I was so so sick early pregnancy up until 10 weeks, then I was hospitalised with sepsis and other infections (baby absolutely fine, had two scans since!) and since recovering from that which took about 4 weeks, I’ve felt fine !
I should be happy but every now and then i question if it’s normal. We are having a gender scan on Monday as DH is dying to know what we are having , but until then...anyone else feel the same ?
This is our first baby so it’s very new

Congratulations Flowers

Second trimester is famously the “easy” one where you start to feel normal and healthy again. Make the most of it before 3rd kicks in and you’re exhausted and heavy!

@shirleyphallus thank you so much, that’s made me feel at ease ! I have awful trapped wind which is very painful, never had that before pregnancy so that’s a new one !!

Hi OP - this is how I feel, I have found it quite disconcerting so much so I had a scan last week. I am finding it easier now to accept and also feel pretty good! I have to remember I am pregnant especially when I start rushing around!

GaaaaarlicBread · 10/03/2020 08:11

@WorriedButterfly thank you, congrats on your pregnancy ! I had a scan at 14+ weeks due to cramping which turned out to be because I have a tilted uterus apparently (she said it doesn’t do any harm), so after seeing baby move around happily I keep telling myself the odds are in my favour but then still worry every other day! This is probably our life now !

I have felt pretty normal most of my pregnancy -very lucky! Tired and slight nausea in early preg but nothing much and second trimester fine. Now 26 weeks and getting a bit tired again and heavier but not bad.

NemophilistRebel · 10/03/2020 08:13

Second trimester I could have quite easily forgotten I was pregnant I felt that normal

GaaaaarlicBread · 10/03/2020 08:24

Thank you I’ll have to try and stop worrying - not sure what to tell myself to stop though! The cramps are sore but it’s definitely trapped wind now which is agony I can see why babies cry so much if they haven’t been winded 😂

It's honestly the weirdest thing, I'm 16+6 weeks and due 19/8/20 but I feel like I'm not pregnant. I'm not sure if I've felt baby move or not and I just have a constant cold! Roll on the next scan.

Bellsx · 10/03/2020 09:00

Yes totally understand what you mean I'm currently 16+5 with my second and apart from still feeling a bit tired and having sore boobs(which I've had the whole way through) I don't feel too bad. Not sure if it's still way to early or if I'm over thinking it but may have felt some kind of bubble popping, fluttery sensations from baby but who knows, roll on when you can actually feel proper kicks then it might seem a bit more real! I've got the midwife this afternoon so hopefully she'll have a listen in to the heartbeat then on Friday I have a scan due to previous miscarriages so being able to hear and see baby again will hopefully ease my mind and I might then actually believe I'm am pregnant 😂

Nearly 15 weeks here and other than consipation (hooray for the inventor of lactulose!) I feel absolutely fine. 90% of the time I forget I'm pregnant until someone mentions it 😂 No bump yet but clothes are tight and feeling fat. I've not had many symptoms all the way through, and sometimes I do worry whether everything is OK - we've booked a 16 week scan just to check in as I feel far too normal!

Thanks for helping me feel less alone ladies , you’re all fab!! Congratulations to you all on your pregnancies ! Xx

Ha ha enjoy the 2nd trimester as as soon as the 3rd hits you'll know about it Grin plus it sounds like you've had your fair share of horrible symptoms so far!! I think it's quite common to feel fine in the 2nd trimester. Your not too big and tired to move but the sickness has gone, enjoy it whilst it lasts Grin xx

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 10/03/2020 17:03

I felt good until the last week, I'm 20 weeks and suddenly exhausted, starving and super super lazy. I'm hoping it passes soon and I get to feel normal and glowy haha.

Feelthefear01 · 10/03/2020 19:04

Yup feeling very much the same
Spent first trimester with my head down the toilet to the point of being hospitalised for dehydration, had sore boobs and severe constipation. Now 17 weeks and sickness is stoped this week, no constipation and no achy boobs. Belly growing but just look like I've had too many puddings and I spend every evening lying down concentrating in movements (felt absolutely nothing) went to midwife last week and heart heartbeat, she said it was strong and well, this reasured me for all of about 10 minutes and then started panicking again that baby has disappeared. Im sure all these people that say they love being pregnant are lying

KittyKat2020 · 10/03/2020 21:04

@Feelthefear01 I literally feel the same! Hearing the heartbeat helped me relax for all of a an hour and then I was worried again lol

GaaaaarlicBread · 22/03/2020 16:21

Now I’m 17 weeks and all I feel is dizzy ! Had my midwife apt on Friday and it was a waste of time really ! Just a urine dip and that’s basically it! Now the countdown to 20 week scan In 18 days 😩
