Hi

I don't mind if have a girl or boy. I'm happy either way.

But I had my 16 week scan and was told I'm having a boy. Yay!! But then I'm told it's not 100% so it just makes me wonder before I go out and buy loads of things.

Has anyone been told they are having a boy and then turns out to be a girl? Or is it usually the other way round? Girl to boy?

My baby was positioned breech when they did then scan.

Please advise xx

There's been plenty of people told one sex for it to turn out the other, both ways around. Generally speaking, they are correct but they can't say 100% in case you sue them if they're wrong.

I had a scan at 15 weeks and was told girl. At my 20 week one said the same x

Usually if they see the ‘bits’ for a boy.. it can’t usually be wrong! I often hear of it being misdiagnosed the other way round e.g saying girl but then it’s a boy...although stranger things have happened... 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s never 100% x

Well the sonographer did say he could see the penis and scrotum but then said it's not 100%. He was a rather moody sonographer so didn't want to question him 😂

Most the time they’re correct . My friend was told boy though at both 16 weeks and 20, and then when the baby was born it was a girl! But it is quite rare for them to be wrong . Congratulations! We find out monday next week 💜💙

Could you see anything yourself? I went for a private scan at 16+6 and knew before the sonographer said anything that it was a girl....she wasn't shy and it was very clear to see these were no bits whatsoever between her legs.

Wolfgirrl · 10/03/2020 21:36

I know somebody who was told in multiple scans it was a girl but she gave birth to a boy Grin

But it's quite rare. I was told girl at 16w and I had a girl.

If you have the urge to get a few bits you could buy mainly unisex with a few boy bits thrown in? You can also keep unisex bits for a potential second baby so they have that use as well!

Congrats Flowers

JoJo333

I had a private scan with my son, can’t remember how far in the pregnancy I was but was around 16 weeks or so mark. I was told it was a boy and they were correct.
