I think it depends on your risk factors. Usually between 75mg-150mg but I’d call your midwife or GP surgery to check

eggontoast2 · 09/03/2020 01:10

It's baby aspirin and a low dose. Needs to be prescribed by your GP. 75mg I think.

Let's hope I can get some Grin panic buyers!!!

I take 75mg and buy from boots. My GP didn’t have a clue (aspirin recommended by a consultant).

EarlGreyT · 09/03/2020 08:23

If it’s to prevent preeclampsia the recommended dose has changed from 75 to 150mg. If you are going to try and buy it from a pharmacy, the pharmacist won’t sell it to you if you tell them you’re pregnant (even though you have been advised to take it during pregnancy!)

R2D2abc · 09/03/2020 09:04

For some people is 75 mg and for others is 150 mg. It all depends on the risk factors you have. Give your midwife a call and ask, don't take for granted what others say.
Anyways, my GP too didn't have a clue.

HarrietM87 · 09/03/2020 09:06

If it’s 75mg you can definitely get it from boots, no need for a prescription.

Geepipe · 09/03/2020 09:07

75mg asptin is available in wilkos as well.

LH1987 · 09/03/2020 09:17

It might say in your notes from your midwife appointment. Just bought some 75mg tablets yesterday, seems they are unaffected by panic buying :)

I've been prescribed 150mg. Seems to depend on risk factors - so really, do check with your midwife or GP.

Halloweenbabyy · 09/03/2020 11:12

I take two 75mg

Blizy · 09/03/2020 18:55

I've been prescribed 150mg intake 2 x 75mg.

essexanon · 09/03/2020 21:34

I take 2 x 75mg. Bought from b&m.

squee123 · 09/03/2020 22:27

my consultant says she's now remembering 150mg for all women that have risk factors and interestingly that I should continue up to birth whereas I think previously the advice was to stop earlier

squee123 · 09/03/2020 22:27

*, recommending

Robs20 · 09/03/2020 22:30

I take 75mg and buy it from Superdrug/ boots. Much cheaper than the cost to the nhs of prescribing it :)
