First 12 week scan nerves....

So this may sound stupid but this Thursday it's my 12 week scan, I hate it incase all this excitement ends in sorry no baby.... I know it's stupid but I'm sure others feel it too??

Mine is on Wednesday and i feel exactly the same. Im an overthinker at best but ive never been as worried as i am in the run up to this. People say that ill continue to be anxious afterwards as theres always something to worry about and whilst i agree to a certain extent, i do think that once wednesday is done and fingers crossed we get the news we want, then my anxieties will ease a little.

Yes I'm also feeling the nerves. Mine is tomorrow morning. I've had two scans already, my most recent two weeks ago but I had a mmc last year and it has left me with crippling anxiety.

My husband planning the big reveal to the other children..... Where as I'm thinking let's just get past Thursday xx will be thinking of everyone who's scans are coming up and waiting to hear the sighs of relief

In the same boat except my scan is on Friday.... The 13th!!😱 I'm so nervous after MC in Autumn. My DH is away on a biz trip for 2 weeks immediately after our scan so I really hope it isnt bad news as I don't think I'll cope again without his support. 😳

I felt that for my 12 week scan (I'm 17 weeks now) i was very worried because anything can happen. Try not to get yourself too worked up about it, but the moment you see your baby on the screen all of those worries will go away 🥰 Are you worried because lack of symptoms or is it just something that has crossed your mind?

I'm still waiting for the appointment to come through and it's agony. I'll be 12 weeks on Tuesday and I just want to know one way or the other if this baby exists.

I had a very positive scan at 8 weeks but anything can happen between then and now.

I can feel the panic taking hold, it's horrible.

Lack of any real symptoms apart from being completely parched..... I'm sure all will be ok, I'm the type of person to feel like an idiot I'f there was no baby.... Although I've had a positive blood test just still feel blurh about it all!!

@LatteLover12 SNAP! I had a scan at 8+5 but they said i was measuring more like 7+2... My mw didnt seem bothered by this and just said its milimetres at that stage so can be wrong / i could have implanted late / baby could catch up. But im also in the mindset that anything can happen!! Its so nervy. Ill be 13 +1 when i go for my scan on wednesday 😊

@Margo34 I'm in the same situation. My scan is first thing in the morning on Friday. I'm so nervous but so glad it's in the morning and I don't have to think about it all day! I then leave to go on holiday for 3 weeks without my partner, was planned before I met him so he wasn't coming anyway!

Hopefully all scans are perfect and we all get the results we want 🤞 fingers crossed for everyone having their 12 week scans!

I've got my 12 week scan on Tuesday at 2pm....so worried and just have a gut feeling that something bad has happened :(

It's been 3 weeks since my booking appointment and I'm quite surprised at how fast time seems to have gone but now I'm just wishing the next two days away xx

Mines friday at midday and i feel the same! Actually convinced myself i'd pooed it out at one point which is so ridiculous its funny

Hope your scan goes ok. I completely understand this mine is today and I've spent the last three.m days worrying non stop that there is going to be no heartbeat. Apparently it's normal to worry but I just feel so scared. Xx

Scan today and it went well, dated me at 12 weeks 1 day with a due date of 21/09/2020.

Feel so relieved! Didn't realise how much I had been worrying about it until I got home absolutely drained and exhausted.

Hope everyone else's has gone well and thinking of you all for later on in the week xxxx

My scan was fine, i am only 11 weeks and 3 days due 27/09 but I kind of new that would be the case as I have a longer cycle. I was so tearful all day yesterday but all was fine! Same as everyone else was drained yesterday. Hopefully those 10 days will fly by for you ❤️ Hope everyone else scans go well xxxx

I've got mine a week today and I'm so so nervous. Had an early scan at 7+6 and were impressed with how strong the heartbeat was. I've had bad hip/abdominal pain the last week or so, apparently it's completely normal but doesn't stop my mind worrying.

Everyone says "As long as you're not bleeding you'll be fine". Do they understand how unhelpful that is?

in currently 38 weeks pregnant and I remember those nerves too well!
I got so upset before going to the scan. I honestly just wanted to hear everything was ok. I think its normal to be nervous, I was the same when waiting for the 20 week scan but thankfully baby was well. I wish you all the best for your scan

I had mine today and I was soooo worried one it was all bad news two that it could be twins.... However all is well one baby and they think 13weeks would but me 2 days ahead of my date which literally has a 11hr window so I'm pleased now just to panic until 20 weeks

Glad it went well OP I’m 4 weeks and already worried about even making it to 12 week scan, and something being wrong when I get there. It’s all constant worry!

I'd like to say it gets better but I worried the whole time..... Actually thinking back a private scan might have put my mind at ease
