Travelling for the birth

My mum and dad live in a different country (easily commutable in a few hours). When I go into labour I'd like to let my mum know so she can make her way here and be here when I give birth or just after. However I really don't want my dad to come with her. I am happy for him to come after when I'm settled for a few days to visit but our relationship is poor and seeing him makes me stressed. He is a vert negative person and I don't want him around me while I'm labouring or just after baby comes. Has anyone split their parents like this? I know my mum will push back as she's blindly loyal to him but I also know she'll understand
