Is this a sign labour is coming soon?

So I have inflammatory bowel disease but I have had my large intestine, the part affected, removed, so it is no longer active, but this does mean I have more bowel movements. However in my pregnancy they have been less. But I’m now coming up 34 weeks and I can’t stop opening my bowels. Like every 40 minutes, it’s loose but not diarrhoea, I haven’t got a bug, no infection, haven’t got any bowel related tummy pain or anything it literally feels like my body is having a clear out. I’ve read this can be a sign of impending labour - is this true?
