Good morning everyone

I have been having light spotting on and off the first was Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning then it stopped. so I had early scan yesterday and was told I am 7 weeks 5 days (now 7 weeks 6 days) and heartbeat there etc I was overjoyed very happy this is our first baby. Last night the light pink spotting happened again, same as before I had the scan, is this normal? The midwife said something about implantation but doesn’t implantation happen way earlier at time of conception? and midwife said it is very common light pink spotting on the toilet paper and nothing to worry about.
I just want to relax and not be stressed about this light pink on the toilet paper. She said as long as no proper bright heavy blood and severe cramps I am good and scan was fine.... i have very light pink looking discharge and pelvic cramps but I was told that normal uterus stretching. My partner says to stop worrying as scan good.

Also seeing as I had scan yesterday and midwife said everything fine? Then the very light pink spotting after scan is ok? Cause surely midwife would see any issues ? Etc just looking for some reassurance if this happen to anyone else ? I am going to do my best not to google and panic about every little single thing. My first pregnancy so I guess normal to be anxious but lately I’ve just been filled with anxiety.

Your midwife is the expert so trust her. She’s medically trained and likely very experienced so will give you much more valuable help, advice, and information than MN. It sounds like you really don’t need to worry

I know the midwife is expert (I’ve not had booking appointment yet in couple weeks yet, this midwife i saw took my early scan).
Sometimes it’s just nice to hear a bit of reassurance from other mums to be or experienced mums who may have done through something similar. I trust and I am very grateful for midwife care. Thanks.

I think once you've been reassured wrt heartbeat it sounds like all is well :) It can be normal absolutely but I'd maybe be taking it a little easy and putting feet up.
