Ivf pregnancies?

Thought I’d start a thread for the ivfers who have just recently got a bfp or in the first trimester!
Anyone welcome to post of course though!
I’m 6.1 weeks today and have had a very anxious time so far, worried from the moment I got a bfp ( 6dp5dt) I also had pink spotting a few nights ago which knocked me sick with worry, but thankfully it had stopped now and hope it doesn’t start again. I have a very early private scan this weekend because I just want the reassurance now even though I know a heart beat it not always detected! I just need to see something to make it feel more real. So anyway where is everyone else upto?

Hey, Congrats on your BFP!!!
I'm pretty new here!
I'm 5.2 from my first round of IVF.
I got my BFP last weekend and my anxiety is through the roof!!
I started off with lots of textbook pregnancy symptoms and then in the last 24 hours they've all completely vanished so I've gone in to panic mode!
I have a v.early scan at the EPU on Monday which I'm so scared for even though I know they may not even see anything due to how early I am.
I miscarried 18 months ago so I just feel devastated and petrified it's going to happen again 😭 my gut feeling just tells me it's over! I guess time will tell!
How have you been feeling? So glad the spotting has stopped for you!
How did you find the IVF process? x

Littlebb2020 · 06/03/2020 11:38

@LolaSparkle sorry to hear about your miscarriage!
Hoping this pregnancy goes all the way for you x
It is horrible I am so anxious too and I’m terrified for my scan on Sunday, that’s what I am worried about if I don’t get to see anything then I’m going to fret for a week until my 7 week scan on the 16th at the clinic I had ivf.
Yes the spotting has stopped now but I seem to be getting a snot like discharge that’s yellow now and again but tbh as long as it’s not blood I’m not too worried. I also feel the same as you that it’s over and I can’t believe it is really happening yet I think it’s what ivf and infertility does to us!
I’ve been feeling really tired and sick the past few days what about you? X

Thank you! I just keep praying for a successful outcome!
Oh bless you! If it helps, when I was pregnant with my son who's now 10 I had lots of pink and brown spotting in early pregnancy and he's perfect!
The IVF/infertility journey is such a difficult one! It's turned me in to a wreck! It's awful!
I was lots of nausea, really sore boobs and exhaustion but they just seem to have vanished. I was bloated too but I'm putting that down to the pessaries!
I'm like a day behind you on scans! I'm at EPU on Monday and then with my clinic on the 17th! X

I’m very very early with an IVF pregnancy. I’ve been spotting mainly brown but sometimes a light pinky red since 5dp5dt. It’s there all day every day when I wipe but never any on pad and no pain. I’m so scared. I’ve had miscarriages in the past that have started like this. It’s absolute torture not knowing which way the will go

LolaSparkle · 06/03/2020 13:37

@Fredsgirl19 so sorry to hear your going through this!
I had lots of brown-pink spotting in my pregnancy with my son and he was all fine so fingers crossed it stops for you soon!
It's so hard not to worry! My head is wrecked today! I'm honestly finding this absolute torture! Xx

I'm an IVF success story at 15 weeks. All going well so far but anxiety was very high. I really suffered while taking the progesterone and estrogen and was taken off it early. Never looked back.

My pregnancy is IVF, currently 19+ 4. We had a scan at 6+3 and heard the heartbeat, it was amazing! Baby is literally a little blob at that point but it's so nice to have the reassurance that you are in fact growing life and this isn't all some cruel joke!
It's easy for me to say this, but I have been in your position, stay strong, stay positive, talk to anyone who will listen and if you are concerned, call you clinic. If you're private then you've paid more then enough to justify pestering them!! Good luck Flowers

Littlebb2020 we are pretty much at the same stage, exciting and nervewracking isn't it! I am 6 weeks and 1 day, first time ICSI and first time pregnant (with no previous pregnancies or mc). My seven week scan is on Thurs 12th. I havent had any symptoms apart from feeling exhausted most evenings. I actually wish I had more clear symptoms to reassure me. Just very scared I will get bad news on Thurs....especially as I am 39 so I know mc odds are higher in my age group. Hopefully joining here will lift my spirits a bit! Smile
