Could be a couple of things, she's turned around so her back is facing your tummy,
Or you placenta is anterior and is covering her legs kicking you

Both happened to me when I was 19 weeks pregnant, couldn't feel anything for 3 days

The advice is that the baby doesn't get a pattern until 20 odd weeks.

However, when I experienced this I was told to come in and they listened to baby's heartbeat.

If you are worried, call your maternity unit and go and get checked. Everytime!

When you say all day, do you mean since you got up this morning? Or for the last 24 hours? Since this morning is nothing, he/she may be asleep!

baby movements vary a lot, as Charly said, the baby could have just turned round. At this stage it is pretty small, so a change of place may mean their movements aren't strong enough for you to feel.
But it is good to watch them, and if you are worried, it is fine to call your midwife. They would always rather reassure you than have you worried.

This happened to me around a similar time. I think due to space that he was in a different position. Was worrying for a couple of days though. 21 weeks today and this last week have felt him multiple times a day for the last week, a lot stronger and more defined. If worried, do get checked, I am sure all is fine though xx

They don’t have a regular pattern until 28 weeks. They’re too small and can literally turn their backs to you so will kick the other way. If you have an anterior placenta, this will also mask kicks.

The baby is still very tiny at 18 weeks and wouldn’t be in a pattern of regular movement yet in any case. If it moves position or turns around you could go days without feeling movement. With my first I was 23 weeks before I felt anything and 26/27 weeks before it even resembled a pattern and with my second it was 20 weeks before I felt proper movements and probably 24 weeks before they were in a pattern. Even at 24 weeks there would be days where I didn’t feel anything at all. 18 weeks is very early so I really wouldn’t worry too much about not feeling anything for a day or even a few days.
