Has anyone used Nub Techs Ltd for a gender prediction?? If so were they correct?

I did. Sent off my 13 week scan, they predicted 85% girl and we found out Monday that she is indeed a girl!

PatricksRum · 05/03/2020 08:46

You'd be better of flipping a coin.

elliemcx · 05/03/2020 09:05

they said a boy for me at 12 weeks two days and my 22 week ultrasound confirmed same. Smile

MrsRose2018 · 05/03/2020 09:28

Said girl for me and will find out today if correct!! Will report back :) x

IslayBrigid · 05/03/2020 09:49

Definitely report back @MrsRose2018!

Mummyspider27 · 05/03/2020 12:10

Told me 85% girl, it’s a boy! They were lovely about it and happily refunded me x

Adelais · 05/03/2020 13:25

They told me 95% Girl and they were correct.

Peapod29 · 05/03/2020 13:27

Why would you pay someone to do this?! There are Facebook groups that you can upload your pic for free and the mods will tell you. Most of their predictions are correct, mine was and all my friends who have done it were too.

MrsRose2018 · 05/03/2020 13:41

a) for fun
b) because it’s not hurting anyone
c) because it’s a free country
d) all of the above

Bellsx · 05/03/2020 14:48

@Peapod29 what is the name of the company on Facebook you used please?

Peapod29 · 05/03/2020 14:53

It’s called nub theory queens. I think most of my friends have used them. They mark up the pics for you and ob it’s a private group so you have to request to join. It’s a educated guess and they have as much experience as anyone. Save your pennies for cake on your maternity leave.

Bellsx · 05/03/2020 15:02

@Peapod29 thank you. I'm not the sort of person who would pay for someone to have a guess as like you said I would prefer to spend my money on something else for the baby/myself but obviously everyone is different.

PatricksRum · 05/03/2020 16:50

And we wonder why there's so many problems with gender norms etc.
Can't even get to 16 weeks without finding out the baby's sex. Being healthy isn't enough.

essexanon · 05/03/2020 16:59

they said 90% girl and it turned out to be a boy :-/

IslayBrigid · 05/03/2020 18:16

Don't make people feel bad @PatricksRum what's the point? Of course everyone wants a healthy baby. That's baseline and a blessing to start with. So so lucky to get this. But whether we like it or not people get excited and why shodnt they? Boys and girls are different. Gender norms are manufactured yes but that doesn't take away from the physiological difference which is there. You could be excited to have a girl, and raise her to be independent, and honour her interests whether they are soccer or Barbies or whether she likes pink or blue or dresses or shorts. It wouldn't matter to me what my 'boy' or 'girl' was like in terms of gender stereotyping. I would be so thrilled with a boy or a girl, but it's still exciting thinking about it. And if you do have a preference, doesn't mean it's because of gender norms necessarily. I'd raise a son to be sensitive and a daughter to be confident. And vice versa. This is how we get rid of sexism, by raising kids equally not by denying the difference of sex altogether.
Preference comes from a lot of things / reasons not just because of wanting a pink little girl or blue little boy.

EssElsiee · 05/03/2020 20:48

Yep mine said boy and confirmed at 16 week scan x
