Sorry if this may seem TMI but I’m going to go into details with this.
I’m 12 + 2 weeks it’s my second pregnancy but my first one ended in miscarriage last October at 6 weeks. Yesterday I had a scan yesterday, the baby was healthy good heart beat and overall scanner said he had no worries.
Yesterday afternoon, on about 3 occasions I felt a wet sensation in my underwear after going to the toilet to find very very watery and clear discharge about a tea spoon. (This a few times throughout the night as well)
Yesterday evening, my boyfriend and I had sex and I orgasmed. (This was the first time we’ve had sex in about 6 weeks, just because I’ve been feeling so ropey with morning (all day) sickness and in general not felt like it) so afterward I was a little sore down there. (Can I also just had it wasn’t rough sex or anything like that).
After going to bed I noticed the watery discharge again and some small cramps, like very minor period cramps. Waking up today I’ve had the cramps pretty much on off all day.
Then this afternoon I went for a number 2 and after wiping my front noticed blood. There was a very small amount of dark red with a clot about the size of a piece of rice and the rest was brown and clear slimy. The overall amount was only 1 wipe.
The minor cramps continued after this and since I’ve been for a wee where a, clear jelly like clot came out with brown in it. There was significantly more and I had to catch it with the toilet paper as it was kind of just hanging out.
I immediately called and booked in a scan for tomorrow so now I just have to wait and see, but I’m really worried given what happened in my first pregnancy. Tbh the nurse wasn’t very reassuring at all and pretty much said “the pregnancy hasn’t come out because you wouldn’t have been able to see the shape of it” meaning the baby and I could hear other nurses in the background saying “reassure her” to the nurse I was on the phone with. It’s just the fact that the brown discharge is alongside cramps and not on it’s own. Like I said no red fresh blood in the second clot/mucus/slimy blob.
I was wondering wether anyone else has experienced this in 2nd trimester pregnancy after sex? I’ve found a lot of stories about brown discharge after sex but none WITH cramps.
