No you could be very favourable for one!
The mw who does it will tell you whats going on in there

Good luck!

I had a sweep with DD at about 1:30 on the Monday. Labour started at 6:45am the next morning and DD was born at 1:26pm .

I had the sweep at 40+3.

It worked well last time for me. I went into labour hours later. My midwife is great she said if you had a sweep which worked well before it tends to be same with your 2nd or subsequents. Didn't know if anyone had experience of that?

I was 39 weeks last time and 38 weeks this time (by hospital dates. I'm week and half ahead by mine and 20wk scan)

My midwife told me she could usually tell if you'd be 'favourable' after she'd done the sweep. (i did say after she did it I don't feel very favourable towards you at all right now!!!) She said she thought I was (I remember her saying something about bulging membranes and thin and stretchy??) I had cramps an hour afterwards, a show after 2hrs (although that's apparantly to be expected), Was in labour all night had baby at 6 following eveing.

Its odd i never had a show with my first. I did have a very big bleed all of a sudden which freaked the hell out of me.

I had one done this morning i am 41weeks. The doctor said i was very favourable.

She has also booked me to be induced tomorrow (water broken) if nothing happens tonight.
