Contractions after sweep

I had a sweep yesterday morning, started getting contractions about an hour later. Had a big bloody show and contractions were coming every 7 mins for 6/7 hours... they then completely stopped?! Anyone had this? How do you get them going again?!

It sounds like the latent phase of labour. Mine lasted 3 days with my DS. Try and get some rest and eat some lovely food and relax. Your contractions are likely to come back (mine came on in the evening, lasting through the night and then disappeared in the morning - over 3 consecutive nights. On the forth night I went into active labour.)

You might stay in the latent phase for a day or longer, or you might go into active labour very soon. Do you have a birth ball or can you go out for a walk? It might help the contractions to get going again, but try not to tire yourself out as you’ll need lots of energy for labour.

@HurryBaby 3 days?! That sounds tiring! I am still getting the odd contractions here and there but they aren't picking up in frequency ugh. I have tried walking and the ball so hopefully something kicks off soon. Thank you! X
