Has anyone found anything that works?!

I have the travel bands. I've tried ginger tea. I'm drinking lots of water but I just feel hideous. I can't do anything other than lie down. It wasn't this bad with my first!

I went to the GP and begged. Absolutely awful GP but I have some ondansetron. I didn't make any difference.

I'm so miserable, please help.

GP gave me Prochlorperazine and it changed my life. I could actually function again.
I'm 20 weeks now and still have bad days but I'm off the meds now and doing ok.

Nothing really helped me other than the meds. No matter what I did or ate, it was awful.
Before I got the meds though, the only thing that sort of helped was eating two big meals a day rather than small meals or snacks. I found that a big meal gave me a few hours relief from the nausea.
Obviously though, finding meals you actually want to eat was a battle in itself.

My advice would be to go back to GP and try different meds, everyone reacts differently to different types. You should be able to find one that works for you x

Ondansetron is the strongest anti-sickness med there is, however in my experience of 2x HG pregnancies, it’s fantastic at stopping the constant vomiting but really not great on the nausea. I’ve been on every anti-sickness available & to be honest, none of them stopped the nausea but my main aim was stopping the severe vomiting. Def ask to try another medication (and another GP!), there’s loads available & everyone reacts differently to them!

Other than that, it was just time that helped. Things became more bearable around 16 weeks & I was back at work full time by 20 weeks. I’ve felt nauseous the whole way through but from 20 weeks, it’s been at a very annoying but tolerable level.
