It seems like forever until the week 20 scan and it seems like the 12 week scan is a distant memory.

I feel like im just fat and not pregnant right now as I cant feel bump moving and my scan is 4 weeks away.

Anyone else feel like this?

I’m in a similar boat, now 16 weeks and feels like I’ve been waiting forever! I do have a significant bump though but can’t feel baby move which I think would make me feel better if i could. My 20 week scan is at the very end of March so I caved in and booked a private scan for this weekend. I’m not overly anxious in general but the wait is really difficult and I think it will be nice to see baby again. Finding out the sex is also a bonus to help us narrow down our names list!

Yeah I am super tempted to get a private scan but I wonder when I'll stop worrying to be honest. I had private scans at week 6 and week 10 so I think I'm just a bit of a stress head and my partner isnt quite getting it.

I felt like this even with first pregnancy. Will be 37 weeks Friday and with both pregnancies we ended up having private scans in the early days. But once I could feel baby move I didn’t need that reassurance any more. You could always good a private scan if you feel you can’t wait - how many weeks are you? I didn’t feel number two move until at least 20 weeks but from around 22/23 onwards the movements were definite enough to reassure me.

@1Pinkfluffyelephant I am 15 weeks and 6 days. I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow. I think once theres movement I will feel better.

They might listen to babies heart beat tomorrow at your midwife appointment, that might reassure you? Smile

Although I was the same and booked on a private gender scan at 16 weeks

It is a super long wait. I agree with pp once you feel movement it's a lot less stressful!

I can definitely relate, the wait between scans feels like a lifetime! And the closer we get to the scan, the more anxious I become!
We will be 20 weeks on Sunday (no obvious movements felts yet, but some bubbles) and our scan is booked for Monday but the closer we get, the longer time seems to be taking!
We had a private early scan at 9 weeks just to check all was well, and another at 12 weeks, so we are very much looking forward to seeing baby Bean on Monday 💛
