Is this usual in early pregnancy?

Have just found out i'm pregnant for the second time, already have DS (18 months). I went to see the doctor this morning and said to him that although i have only just missed my period, i wondered if the last one could have been spotting (?) as the minute i eat anything my tummy puffs right out and even when i wake up i have a bit more of a tummy than usual, though not loads. He just kept saying you are 5 weeks, and looked confused when i said but really it's only 2 weeks. Anyway, could i be more pregnant than i think or is bloating just a symptom that i haven't had before?It just seems a bit much for 2 weeks post conception! Thanks

It will sound so silly but I wish our babies-to-be would have an opportunity to chat like their moms do . Maybe they would then support each other and help each other to get through this very rough first stage . I hope that next week we will all have a reason for the big virtual party!

Aaaahhh thank you Kensgirl - I remember you. I have been racking my brain & can't remember which thread it was...

Had AF arrive after IVF failed then it didn't come back (but this is quite normal after IVF so wasn't too worried). Tested a positive 3 wks ago & still in Shock

katendmom will be thinking of you. I think you're right about the early scan making me feel more worried, it probably is really early and would just freak me out. I really hope everything goes well for you xx

It was the thin womb lining thread, Rosy. It was Torres, if you remember, and I'm sure she won't mind me saying she has just got a BFP. Is everything going well for you?

Oh I remember Kensgirl... I told her what we eat to improve it during IVF.

How are you doing?? Have you been given the all clear to try again??
I am fine - a little worried as no symptoms as yet - have a scan on Monday to check the heartbeat.

I'm sure you'llbe fine, Rosy. It seems to be that your little bean was fate after everything you have been through, sending you very positive vibes.

I had the all clear today!! Even though we have been ttc anyway, it sort of feel sofficil now. Hope it doesn't take too much longer.

Oh wow Kensgirl - that is brilliant news!! I hope next time things go really well for you. Will they monitor you closely?
