Tight hard ‘lump’ in lower abdomen that comes and goes 16 weeks

So I’m 17 weeks tomorrow and every so often I can feel an odd feeling in my lower belly. It seems to move sides, sometimes more to the left or right, other times below my belly button.

It feels like a hard tight lump, almost like a small section of my belly is getting tight. If I gently press on it, it feels rock solid and it eventually goes away or seems to move, it’s so weird!

I thought it might be the baby but I’m not sure now as I’ve only felt little pop sensations til now so not sure if it’s just gas or what.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

I used to get a feeling like this. I always thought it was just Braxton Hicks starting early on. They became more frequent too.

This sounds like your womb having tightenings/braxton hicks and the pops sounds like baby having a kick:), is this your first?

Isn't it just where baby is? I can see the lump sometimes as well as feel it

Braxton hicks. Mine felt like the baby was curling up in a ball

Braxton Hicks - didn't have it much with my first but this time around it started happening from 16w onwards mostly when I am reclined and resting
