Hello everyone,

I'm getting induced at 38 weeks because of small baby (2.2 kg at 37 weeks) and Gestational diabetes. I'm worried for baby and also chances of getting a c sec. Please let me know your experiences if you had similar conditions.

Thanks

I was induced at 39 weeks due to Low Papp-A and reduced movements. I had a really positive experience.

Thursday went in and the pessary was inserted, it was checked 30 hours later and I was 2cm dilated. I couldn't get a bed on labour ward until Saturday due to how busy it was so I was just kept on the induction ward - no issue.

Waters broken 10am, in labour at 12pm and delivered at 5:25pm in the pool with just paracetamol. I didn't need the drip to start contractions which is why I could use the birthing pool.

Make sure you take plenty of food & drink with you plus a book or tablet to keep entertained.
