Hello, I'm looking for other peoples experiences please, I had a scan nearly 2 weeks ago, I should have been around 9 weeks pregnant she said she could see the ambiotic sack and the fetus so could comfirm a pregnancy but she only placed me at 6 weeks and couldn't see a heart beat she also said it looked like the sack was starting to break down, I saw a nurse afterwards though who said It might be that I'm not as far along as I think so feeling confused, I had some spotting and some sharp cramping and pressure before which is why my midwife asked me to have a early scan ive had no bleeding sence but have had alot of cramping .
Thank you in advance Smile

Hey.

Have you been given a date for a follow up scan?

I have had similar - I went in for a scan thinking I was 7.5 weeks but the baby and sac only measured 6 weeks. If it helps, I posted about it and had some reassuring answers back.

Sadly I've started to bleed over the weekend so I assume it's bad news for us.

How are you feeling?

So sorry you are going through this. I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks - the baby's heart had stopped a couple of days before the scan. If you are sure of your dates, and the sac looks like it is breaking down, then sadly it would be wise to prepare yourself for bad news at your next scan. Even if your dates are wrong there should be a heartbeat present at 6 weeks. I lost all pregnancy symptom too, so I wasn't completely taken off guard when a scan showed bad news x

Thank you, I've already prepared myself for the worst out come, I still felt very much pregnant at my last scan but they started to ease of slowly and now I just feel very up and down emotionally. Xx
