Hi I'm 38 and just found im pregnant with my 6th child its totally unexpected my youngest is 7 and I had a really bad pph with her my husband dont want another child and is very worried about my health I really don't want another baby myself but i could not go through with an abortion. I'm so scared. I work two jobs and can barely walk when I get home as it is. Has anyone else had a pph and gone on to have another baby at this age.

so sorry you are in this dilemma. I think you need to have a serious conversation with a doctor within three next couple of weeks. I am not a medical professional but I know my friend who had a a serious pph was told she seriously mustn't get pg again as a future full term pregnancy could kill her. however that is only one case and your situation could be different. in her case she has said she wouldn't hesitate to have an abortion in the case of an unplanned pregnancy because her responsibility not to leave her existing children motherless. I truly hope that your medical situation isn't as serious as that but you need to get your facts properly understood before you decide what to do.

finding yourself in a situation where none of the options are acceptable is horrible. you need to be kind to yourself and accept that there isn't a perfect path ahead of you.
