Cot / crib mattress

I’m buying a second hand Chicco next to me crib which doesn’t come with a mattress. I’ve had a look online for a mattress and there’s loads of options and price ranges.

This is my first baby so I don’t really know what to look for / which type of mattress is the safest and comfortable for the baby.

Does anyone have any crib/cot mattress advice?

You can get a replacement mattress for it on amazon. I’ve been loaned a chicco next to me and bought the mattress from there myself.

As PP said, you can get a specific chicco replacement mattress. Thinkin might have seen one in argos as well?

I've downloaded the Which ap - surprised to find some of the more "upmarket" mattress are marked as avoids. You do have to pay a fee monthly but can cancel as soon as your done using it for baby shopping.

I’ve seen the Chicco replacement on Amazon but it’s like £40. There’s a cheaper version (the same size so will fit) which is only £15. I’ll have a look on the Which app and see what it says. Thanks guys!
