I'm a couple of days early for my period but have very achy boobs this month. I'm a seasoned pro at testing early so thought nothing of doing a Boots own test to have a look. Picture attached.
This was at about 4pm. Line came up within the allotted 5 mins. Admittedly the pink line has gotten darker or more obvious over time so I realise I'm edging into 'evap territory'.

Feeling excited I ran to the chemist and grabbed a clear blue digital. It's now about 6.30pm and I squeeze out a bit more pee and it was 'not pregnant'.

Thoughts......

I should add, both tests state 25 mui/ml

I bought some cheap Amazon pregnancy tests and they picked up all three of my pregnancies a few days before my period was due, I took a clear blue with my first and third and I didn't get a positive until I was 3 days late for my period for one pregnancy and 5 days late for the other. They are renowned for being less sensitive. Good luck 🙂

Thank you.

I do have a whole bunch of eBay cheapies. They are OneStep but thinner than the Amazon variety. Needless to say the reviews online do suggest false positives.

Anyway, here's the result. At 8.50pm. A faint but clearly something there line.

Surely these can't be more accurate that a digi this late in the day night.

Hurry up morning.

Digital ones do seem to take longer to give a positive. Maybe if its negative in the morning then leave it a couple of days and try again. Looking promising though!

This morning another digital it is still negative and I took the remaining Boots test I had. Photo below taken at exactly 3 minutes.

Both the digital and boots are 25 mui sensitivity.

@JK201 that looks like a faint positive to me. I'd check again in the morning with a pink die test. B&M do 2 for a pound and they worked perfectly for me.

ellenpartridge · 29/02/2020 08:36

It does look like a faint positive. If you're still testing quite early I would try and leave it a few days and then you should hopefully get a very clear result. Good luck.

Thank you both. Why do I do it to myself!!!!

Just for good measure I also did another eBay cheapie.

Positive. Congrats!

JK201 · 29/02/2020 08:55

Thanks. I hope so.

I have a history of chemical pregnancies and it takes a long time for me to conceive each time so I don't want to believe it until I see that digital test.

I would say definitely positive. There is progression in line from yesterday. Retest in a couple of days if you want a stronger line.

Viletta · 29/02/2020 20:47

I'd say it's definitely a positive! Digital ones normally wouldn't pick up so early. I'd keep testing on your cheapies to see the line getting darker

Mummyspider27 · 29/02/2020 20:51

I also would say positive! 🤞🏼
