General anaesthetic

I found out this morning that I am pregnant (need to test again with a digital test, but the line was pretty clear). But a few days ago I have an operation under general anaesthetic. I didn't think I would be pregnant as the days weren't right (that will teach me to trust an app) so I didn't check before hand. This next month was going to be our first month trying. I'm now worried that I've already ruined it Sad

Did the hospital do a pregnancy test beforehand? Where I work it's policy to do a test for all women of childbearing age (12-55) unless they have a definite reason for not being pregnant eg had a hysterectomy.

No they didn't, because I said that I wasn't pregnant (as that's what I thought).

It is highly unlikely to cause a problem (an anaesthetist)

Thank you!
