You can call your child whatever you want. Blue IS a name if you like it. Who are people to say it isn't. This forum winds me up so much

To say blue isn't a name is not needed. Could just say not keen on blue. Any word is a name at the end of the day... whether you think so or not.

There's a way of using social media. It's not a place to hide behind a keyboard and be nasty. @Shmithecat2 this wasn't really aimed at your comment I just think with everything that's happened lately people would be more mindful.

Thanks I'm really in two minds I get that a lot ... Blue isn't a name well it would be his name I decide to call him it so never get it when people say that anything can me a name lol not that it should

Blue is a horrible name. Freddie is lovely! In fact 'Frederick Blue' has a nice ring to it.

'Blue Freddie' just sounds like hes a bit upset.

Freddie is lovely! I'm not fond of Blue, it's cute for a child but I can't picture a 50 year old man being happy to be called Blue. Obviously it's up to you though.

Blue is lovely and not too out there or made up at all. I'm 26 and grew up with a boy called blue, no one thought it was weird even back then, we all just thought it was a normal name! It still suits him to this day and has a pretty serious career! So it's not held him back... people suit their own names!

Saying that Frederick blue is also very lovely.

On an unrelated note I think your little boy looks like a Fabian!

He will be lovely whatever you call him 😊
