Dying hair brown 36 weeks

I was just wondering if it's okay to put a brown packet dye on your hair , my hairs got this awful red tinge to it as I haven't died it and it's seriously annoying me now ? Is it safe

It's safe, just sometime your skins more sensitive in pregnancy/ your hair might not take aswell to the dye because off excess hormones etc, so just maybe patch/ /strand test first just to be safe xx

Yeah I think is what happens last time .... I put a brown die on and it went red and is the same dye I always use .

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure I was told right from the start of both my pregnancies not to use hair dye whilst pregnant, as it was a risk to the baby. Could you double check with your midwife/HV before you use it, just to be on the safe side? Alternatively, though not ideal obviously, it might be worth just waiting a few more weeks until baby is here and you don't need to worry.

You can safely dye your hair but as pp said it can affect the outcome.

There's information on NHS website regarding dying hair whilst pregnant, it's pretty much safe. At 20 weeks I dyed mine, all was fine. 36 weeks now, still no problems

@summerrain34 yes it's completely safe, but be sure to do a patch test before.
Hormones can also affect the result of the colour but theres nothing you can do about it unfortunately!

It’s fine to dye your hair but hormones can affect how the dye takes! My hair went super blonde the other week with my usual colour on it.. my hairdresser was amazed 🙈 I had to go back the next day to try darken it up as it did not suit me quite so bright! Thankfully, she managed to sort it but it’s still blonder than usual!
